Turn avoided spending into a goal.
This tool compares a former cigarette budget with an additional monthly cost you can enter, such as support, travel or another expense associated with your plan. The amount is yours to choose; no treatment price is assumed. It is not a bank statement: the calculated money has not necessarily been saved.
Choose today or a past date. The counter uses elapsed calendar days and excludes the starting day: selecting today gives zero days. The scenario assumes no cigarettes were bought during that period. If that does not match your experience, the result should not be presented as your actual saving.
| Measure | Method |
|---|---|
| Avoided daily spending | Former daily cigarettes ÷ pack size × price |
| Daily net difference | Avoided daily spending − additional monthly cost ÷ 30 |
| Modelled balance | Daily net difference × elapsed days |
| Remaining days | Remaining goal ÷ daily net difference, rounded up to a whole day |
Adjust the goal to your own budget.
If additional costs exceed former spending, the net difference becomes negative and the goal cannot be reached in this scenario. The tool says so instead of showing an unrealistic deadline. A zero target is considered reached. The visual gauge stays between 0 and 100%, while the balance can show negative values.
Choose a concrete target: building a reserve, funding an activity or planning an expense. You can compare amounts, but the calculation is not a reason to reduce or stop treatment to reach the target sooner. These calculators do not transmit your entries; calculations run in your browser.
